Born into a traditional Russian circus family, Danik Abishev began performing at the age of four. As part of the Soviet Union state circuses, he toured China and received the title of Honoured Artists of Russia. His family relocated to Brisbane and Danik continued his worldwide domination of performance arts. He toured the country extensively as part of the influential Circus Royale. His revolutionary hand-balancing routines have been sought out by circus and non-circus productions alike, performing with hip-hop’s Tom Tom Crew in the Middle East and South America, and earning him a position among the finalists in 2009’s Australia’s Got Talent. This was followed by a season of La Perle, a new show created by Franco Dragone at Dubai’s Al Habtoor City. More recently, Danik has performed throughout Australia in the cabaret shows Limbo and Blanc de Blanc.
